Happy Birthday Mackenzie! Today Mackenzie turned 8. It is hard to believe that 8 years have already flew by. Bittersweet- happy to be here, having her grow up, but also a bit sad because it goes by so fast.

Instead of a traditional birthday party, we did things a bit different this year.

We woke up and opened a present (clothes from Justice, one of Mackenzie's favorite stores). Then there was breakfast at 5 am doughnuts followed by a visit to the *spa*,





Mackenzie enjoyed a mini manicure and pedicure. She had decided awhile back that she wanted to cut her hair and donate it to Locks of Love. She had only had her hair trimmed, almost always by momma. Today was the day of the first BIG hair cut.

I think it turned out great! She looks so much older to me. She is very happy about how it turned out. Her big concern was wondering if her goats would recognize her. :)

It was a little harder on me but I am ok. Glad I let her do it.

We shopped and shopped (and shopped) the rest of the day. Got LOTS of shoes and a tea set she has been admiring for quite some time. We went to her favorite restaurants and went to the movies too. We picked a pie (she didn't want a cake) up, brought it home, and Cambrie and I sang happy birthday.





It was great day BUT I am tired!
