Not 5 minutes from the Ranch, the owners of a much larger ranch, have recreated Capernaum. There is a complete city and a "Walk through the Bible" garden. There have been 2 productions (The resurrection and birth of Jesus) thus far and we have seen both. Both productions were wonderful- I really felt as if I were "there" witnessing the events first hand.
Here are pictures we took during our recent visit (Christmas)-

Baby Jesus!
There was a candy cane tour via horse drawn wagon that told the story of the candy cane. The shape- J for Jesus, upside down is represents a Shepard's cane. White for purity and red for the blood of Jesus. 3 rings for the trinity. It was enjoyable.
About a year ago we noticed about 50 huge statues at this large ranch. They sat there for months. Come to find out, there was a sculptor who passed away and his son inherited his work. The sculptor was creating biblical sculptors and was sculpting his way through the bible. Somehow the ranch acquired these sculptures from the son. This large ranch created a garden featuring his work. It is a walk through the Bible and is amazing. There are scriptures engraved in the walls as you walk through. There are just a few pictures below. Not included are Adam and Eve, Noah's arc, Moses, the Lion's den. I have to find those pictures.
