Forget Ole' Mac Donald...

Ole' Mackenzie (and Cambrie) Daniels had a farm, E-I-E-I-O

And on the farm they had

a milk cow (a 4 yo registered roan Milking Shorthorn named Strawberry Lily Dairy Queen Daniels, bred to a Brangus, due in late October to be a bit more specific) E-I-E-I-O

And on the farm they had a steer (#4, a yearling Beefmaster steer whom we bought because Strawberry needed a friend) E-I-E-I-O

And on the farm they had 2 pigs (E-I-E-I-O)

(keeping singing!) :) And on the farm they had a lot of egg laying chickens and one Rooster named Henry (Buff Orphingtons, Americanas, Dominickers) E-I-E-I-O

(Almost to the end!) And on the farm they had a bee hive  with a bazillion Italian honey bees E-I-E-I-O

And on the farm they had 3 horses (SunDance, 29 yo qh; Jammer, 9 yo qh; Fancy, 5 yo Buckskin pony)

And on the farm they had 3 dogs (Beetle Bailey, 2 yo Min. Schnauzer; Miley Cyrus, 1 yo German Shepard; Isabella, 1 yo German Shepard)

Ugh- Whew! Take a deep breath and belt out the final- E-I-EEEE-IIIIIIIII-OOOOOO! :)

November 2009 update

Well, we ehem..."sold" the pigs and the steer. It was sad but... I will go into that another time. Strawberry went to live in east Texas. We purchased two reg. Dutch Belted cows from a breeder/ vet in College Station. We are still awaiting their arrival, as the younger had to be weaned and the older one bred. Isabella attacked Beetle and went back to the breeder. Mackenzie received 2 goats for her birthday; Amelia and Abigail. They are Nubians from strong milking lines. Lots of fun!

March 2010 update

New beltie cows (2 heifers, 1 bred) arrived in January, followed by a pretty nice doeling for Mac to show. Elvis, a Nubian buck came in December but left in February after testing CAE positive.
